Mission and Structure

The MAINstream Coalition is the Moderate Alliance of Informed Neighbors.

Founded in 1993, we are a nonpartisan organization whose mission is to promote the separation of church and state, with a emphasis on public education and religious freedom.

There are three organizations connected under the MAINstream umbrella: 

  • the MAINstream Coalition, a 501 C4 nonprofit and our flagship organization
  • the MAINstream Education Foundation, a 501 C3 nonprofit and supporter of our educational efforts
  • MAIN*PAC, a political action committee, which endorses and supports candidates for office

Each entity maintains separate and distinct Boards of Directors.
