From the Executive Director

I find it sometimes hard to answer the question, "Just what is the MAINstream Coalition?" We are a multifaceted, multi-issue, multi-strategy, nonnpartisan, nonprofit education and advocacy organization with a broad agenda.

But, here is my latest attempt at a succinct answer:

The MAINstream Coalition is a membership organization made up of people--mostly Kansans and Missourians--who hold dear the historic practice of church-state separation, who see public education as critical to American democracy and at risk, and, who on the whole, are particularly interested in politics.

I also get asked, "Just what does the MAINstream Coalition do?"

Here's a list of some of what we do:

We educate, mobilize, activate, study, talk, agitate, write, communicate, gather, and create community among like-minded people in our region. We give our members a way to pool their resources to put their values into action.

I hope you will join us in our work to support religious freedom, pluralism, and public education.

Feel free to contact me should you have questions or comments about the work of the MAINstream Coalition and/or would like to schedule a speaking engagement.
