The League of Women Voters of Johnson County is once again hosting Meet Your Candidate events in early October. 

On Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2:00 p.m., candidates who will serve constituents in the Shawnee Mission School District have been invited to a Meet-and-Greet at Trailridge Middle School located at 7500 Quivira in Lenexa.

All candidates will be given an opportunity to speak to all attendees very briefly before meeting with their constituents at individual tables.

In addition to the opportunity to talk personally with candidates, attendees will have the opportunity to

• learn more about ballot issues such as
  • the public safety tax to support a new courthouse as well as
  • the merit selection of judges
  • register to vote
  • learn more about the League of Women Voters of Johnson County which does not support or oppose political candidates or parties

Light refreshments will be served.
