The MainStream Education Foundation presents Stand Up, Speak Out 2019, its 19th Annual Cocktail Reception and Dinner Program.

Logo for SUSO 2019, titled Tuesdays Are For Politics

Being political is about being engaged, being heard, and being represented. What if everyone was political? What if everyone voted? Come to this event to meet hundreds of electeds, candidates, advocates, activists... and voters, at the only event of its kind in Kansas.

Cocktail Reception 5:30 - 7 pm

This is the premiere event of its kind in Kansas, a chance to meet and talk with hundreds of Kansans steeped in politics. These are elected officials, from statewide offices down to city councils, who understand what it takes to represent constituents well. These are candidates, working hard every day to earn the opportunity to make life better for their neighbors. These are advocates, tirelessly working to advance the causes that matter to ALL Kansans. These are activists, those grassroots people and organizations that will not say no. And these are voters, from the top all the way to you: people who know that voting is the bedrock of a better society. All of these people are political. They are engaged and informed. They are standing up and speaking out. They are doing more than voting.

Join us for the open bar cocktail reception, and don't be shy, be political.

Dinner and Program 7 - 8:30 pm

Then sit down to a meal and get ready to be inspired. Our keynote speaker is Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas, who was elected in 2018 in a race with unprecedented turnout, by Kansans from across the state and across political divides, with a mission to make life better for ALL Kansans. We will also hear about the mission of the MainStream Education Foundation going forward (now in our 26th year!) and you'll hear about our amazing Voter to Voter program, which continues to break records for voter turnout.

Master of Ceremonies: Nick Haines
Keynote Speaker: Gov. Laura Kelly of Kansas

Tickets sales are closed. Contact (913) 649-3326 with questions.

Sponsor a Youth Ambassador

Our Voter to Voter project has been reaching out to new, young voters, enrolling them as Voting Ambassadors, and helping them build a lifelong commitment to engagement and voting among their peers. For $150, you can sponsor one of these youth Ambassadors to attend Stand Up, Speak Out 2019. Tickets sales are closed. Contact (913) 649-3326 if you would still like to sponsor a youth ambassador.

Dress is Political Chic

This event is all about the need to be political in today's world. It's not enough to just vote, you have to #domorethanvote! Dress for the event in political chic to let people know you're engaged, and they should be, too. Show us your plans with #suso2019!
