The team at the Mainstream Coalition support the directives of the volunteer Board of Directors, and are in turn supported by the dedicated, hard-working volunteers and members of the Coalition. Nothing would happen without all of us working together. Thank you.

Michael began with Mainstream Coalition in January 2020, after serving his first term on the Roeland Park, KS City Council, and working as director of member engagement for the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. He was first introduced to Mainstream in 2014, while serving as the Metro KC chapter chair of Equality Kansas and championing the passage of the first LGTBQ-inclusive nondiscrimination ordinance in Johnson County, KS. He is excited to be a part of the Mainstream Team and help further their efforts to inform and empower Kansas voters and bring about meaningful change in Kansas.

Lindsay joined The Voter Network team in 2018 after working for the Mayor’s office in Kansas City, Kansas, where she oversaw staff, policy and project management. She previously held roles in corporate community relations and on a number of Kansas political campaigns - at the local, state-wide and federal levels - including serving as Congressman Dennis Moore’s campaign manager for his successful 2008 re-election bid. Lindsay believes that an empowered electorate creates responsive, transparent and inclusive governments, and is looking forward to turning out more voters!

Laurel began working at Mainstream in June of 2021. A native Kansan, Laurel has spent the last ten years in Michigan advocating for smart, tested policies to improve the lives of underserved communities. She earned her Masters in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, which allowed her to study in Hungary and intern in Tanzania and Ethiopia. Laurel is passionate about connecting people to the issues that impact them.

Madeline came to the Mainstream Coalition for the 2020 election cycle after serving as Deputy Director of a conservation organization in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. She is happy to be back in her hometown where she has a history of volunteering for and working on local campaigns. Madeline hopes to create meaningful engagement that empowers and elevates underrepresented voices.
