Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas, will be hosting Rev. Frank Schaefer, author of Defrocked: How A Father’s Act of Love Shook the United Methodist Church.

Rev. Frank Schaefer will share his story of officiating at his son’s same-sex marriage, his subsequent defrocking by a United Methodist court, and ultimately being reinstated by the United Methodist Judicial Council.
