What does voting mean to you?
This year MainStream is celebrating our 25th anniversary. In recognition of this milestone, we are having a short essay contest. Youth engagement is growing but how can we translate that to voting? We want to hear your voice!
Tell us in 200 words or less, what voting means to you.
The top three essays receive a ticket to hear celebrated author, Van Jones speak at our Stand Up, Speak Out Dinner on October 21, 2018. This contest is open to contestants 25 years old and younger. Only one submission per person. Essays should be submitted via email only to [email protected]. Entry in the contest constitutes permission for MainStream to publish the essay at its discretion. Full credit will always be given to the original author.
The contest deadline is 5 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018. No late submissions will be accepted.
