Heartland Coalition Community Forum will host "Gun Violence: Keeping our Children Safe" 

October 9, 2017 at Pierson Hall at UMKC's Student Success Center

Keynote Speaker Nicole Hockley, mother of 6-year-old Dylan Hockley who was killed at Sandy Hook and Co-founder of Sandy Hook Promise will join us in our 4th Annual Community Forum. She has been named one of ‘25 Women Changing the World’ recognized by PEOPLE Magazine and will speak on keeping our children safe and preventing gun violence without just talking about the gun.

8:30am registration with the program starting at 9:30am. Our keynote speaker, Nicole Hockley begins the day. This is followed by a Panel Presentation: Accidental Deaths, School Safety, Mental Health & Suicide and a Working Lunch:  Develop Action Plans.
