MainStream is recruiting interns for this summer!
Are you someone who is interested in helping MainStream make politics in Kansas more reasonable? Do you want to help us plan for the 2018 elections, research local candidates, connect with voters, and create strategies for long-term outreach?
We are looking for people with all different kinds of skills. We want people who like to read and write, people who like to talk to other people, people who are good with technology and video-making, people who are creative, people who are good with numbers...chances are you have a skill we can put to good use!
We are also looking for all different kinds of people. Teenagers on summer break, college students who are exploring careers, stay-at-home parents who want to make a positive change in their community, people with jobs who have some extra time and want to put it to good use, retired people who are committed to MainStream's mission, and every other kind of person.
If you're interested you need to be ready to commit to ten hours/week from May 15 - Aug. 4. These internships are unpaid, but you will learn, have fun, and build your knowledge and expertise. If you're interested, please come to our informational meeting:
5-6 pm, Monday, May 15
Large Meeting Room at Antioch Library
8700 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Merriam, KS 66202
If you can't come to that meeting please send a letter of interest to Liz Meitl at [email protected].
We are looking forward to working with you!
