MainStream Coalition is hosting "Step Up and Run! A workshop on running for office"
Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Colonial Church at 71st & Mission
(parking on south side, in back and across the street at Macy's)
Are you planning to run for office this election season or in the future? Do you have questions about developing a campaign message and strategies? Does the thought of fundraising or asking people for money make you consider not running? Then attend this workshop and develop the knowledge needed to run a successful campaign.
This workshop is the second one in this series. But you do not need to have attended the earlier one to attend this one.
Our speakers will share their experiences and expertise in the following topics:
Campaign Strategies, Campaign Message Exercise, Digital Tools and Social Media during the campaign, and Fundraising
Discussion leaders are:
Sheryl Spalding, former KS Legislator and past MainStream President
Becky Fast, Roeland Park City Council member
Jeff McGurk,
Representative Brett Parker, KS representative for District 29
This will be an interactive workshop that will prepare you for running a campaign for local offices such as school board, city council, county commissioners etc. We also invite those considering running for state offices in 2018 to attend.
By the end of this workshop you will be ready to Step Up and Run!
Reservations are requested not required.
