Volunteering is Action!

This week is National Volunteer Week and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who volunteer for MainStream throughout the year. Their commitment and support are greatly appreciated.

Together we can make a difference!

This is evident by the many volunteers who donated their time and resources to further the mission of MainStream and promote the moderate voice in Kansas. We could not do it without you.

Throughout the 2014 and 2015 election seasons, volunteers walked neighborhoods, knocked on doors, and made phone calls to inform voters about moderate candidates. During our legislative forums, volunteers both plan the event as well as welcome attendees. MainStream’s annual Stand Up, Speak Out dinner and auction requires dozens of volunteers to plan and organize everything from designing the invitations, recording RSVPs, and sending out thank you notes. It would not be as successful without all of your energies and talents. MainPAC also held a large event last year that was largely planned and organized by volunteers. The money raised made our advocacy during last year’s elections possible. MainStream volunteers carry the moderate message to Topeka through writing and calling legislators, testifying in committee hearings, and turning up at the Statehouse to be seen.

So thank you to all of you who volunteered your time, energy and talents to MainStream and MainPAC. Kansas is a better place because of this collective work against extremism in Kansas.
