The Kansas Legislature is up to their shenanigans again. Today the Senate Committee on Education announced a hearing for tomorrow on SB 275. This gave advocates less than 24 hours to submit testimony to oppose this bill that promotes anti-abortion propaganda in our schools.

SB 275 would require any class that covers human growth, human development or human sexuality to include a presentation on fetal development. Similar bills are being introduced in others states and specifically name the "Baby Olivia" video, which was created by religious extremist organizations as a form of anti-abortion propaganda. 

Mainstream opposes this bill because it is an overreach of religious extremism regarding conception and abortion into our classrooms! It would teach medically inaccurate information at a time when our students need accurate, reliable, and trusted sex education. You can read our testimony here.
