You Should Vote Today

Last night we held our annual Stand Up, Speak Out dinner, and nearly 900 people attended the event. We had dozens of elected officials and candidates, and are grateful to everyone who attended, and donated, to support the work we do here. Thank you.

While we are taking this morning a little easy, we do want to remind you that there are 15 days left until the election, and you have a few important tasks.

1. Vote. Advance, in-person voting opens today in Johnson County, and tomorrow in most of Kansas. Some people at our event were sporting the early voting stickers they got in with their mail-in ballots! Look to your county election office for early voting locations (Douglas, Johnson, Sedgwick, Shawnee, Wyandotte, and the other counties).

2. Get others to vote. If you're reading this, chances are you're a regular voter. It's a near certainty that you vote in every general election, like the one coming on November 6th. But you know people who don't. Your job is to make sure they vote. Early. By Mail. On election day. It doesn't matter. Just make sure they vote. (Our Voter to Voter site can help you find and cajole the people you know who might not be regular voters.)

3. Support the people supporting your values. Find a candidate, an organization, a cause, and give them your time and money. We can help you find a candidate to work for, and we'll gladly take your support, too.

Thank you again for all the support you've given us.

Remember, it starts here. With you. Do more than vote.
