Kansas now holds primary elections every year on the first Tuesday in August, and every year on the first Tuesday in November after the second Monday (don't ask, this is how it has been forever). Your annual Primary Election Day is August 1st, 2017, and it is time to get out and vote.
Your ballot will have opportunities to voted for your local municipal positions, and your local school board, to set up the general elections coming in August. Primaries are critical to the election process, and while turnout is usually spectacularly low, that increases the value of each vote cast. Go vote!
