Tuesdays Are For Politics

Tuesday, November 3, 2020. You probably have that date circled on your calendar, it's election day next year.

You should definitely have Tuesday, November 5, 2019 on your schedule. That's when you next get to vote, here in Kansas. This is the most important election this year, for your local government, your school boards, and your community colleges.

But what about Tuesday, October 29, 2019? That's the date of this year's Stand Up, Speak Out, the MainStream Education Foundation's 19th Annual Cocktail Reception and Dinner Program.

Don't miss your chance to meet and greet!

This is the only non-partisan event of its kind in Kansas. Our cocktail reception from 5:30 to 7 pm is where you can find hundreds of Kansans engaged in politics at every level. Elected officials, candidates, advocates, activists, and yes, voters, will be there. With an open bar, and an hour and a half, there's plenty of time to find the people who represent you, and let them know you are informed and involved.

Be inspired by Gov. Laura Kelly

Our keynote speaker this year is Kansas Governor Laura Kelly. In 2018, she was elected Governor with unprecedented turnout, by voters from across the state and across party lines. Her first year in office was marked by reasoned, sustainable policies that put the welfare of all Kansans first.

Get engaged like you've never been before

This year, the Foundation's ground breaking get out the vote program, Voter to Voter, is having an impact on turnout in the 2019 election, and gearing up for 2020. See the spectacular results, and learn how easy it is to make a real difference in these next elections.

Voting is being political, and we are looking to have fun celebrating active, engaged voters like you. Come spend a Tuesday night being political, with hundreds of other Kansans doing the same.

Do more than vote.
